            Mrs. Carrie McDaniel of Enterprise went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the family residence. She was 96.  Funeral services will be 3:30pm Monday, September 16, 2013 at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Bruce officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadowlawn cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 2:30pm and continuing until service time.

               In lieu of flowers, the family asked that contributions be made to the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 4015 Hwy 27 South, Enterprise, AL 36330. 

              Mrs. McDaniel was a dedicated member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church for 84 years. Her husbands, Max Bruce, Frank Fortner and Glenn McDaniel, a daughter Helen Bruce as well as a granddaughter Jean Sims all preceded her in death.  

                 Survivors include her daughter, Ann Barnes (Colon), two sons, Helms Bruce (Judy) and Macky Bruce (Carol) all of Enterprise, grandchildren, great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter and other relatives.
