God felt it time to call home one of his own, Catherine Elizabeth Brown, age 47, of Kalamazoo, Michigan and short time resident of Enterprise, Alabama. Catherine left this world on July 14, 2012, headed for a better place.
Born April 22, 1965, to the late Dale and Helena (Van Nus) Bennett, both of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Catherine was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. Catherine spent the last 29 years supporting her husband and family as they traveled around the world in the service of the United States. Last employed by the Coffee County Commission, Catherine was known to always have a smile on her face and a kind word for anyone she came across.
Loved by everyone she met, Catherine is survived and missed by: her husband of 29 years, James D. Brown; her son, James C. Brown; her daughter, Jessica A. Brown; her sisters, Marilyn Rauch and Rosie Diechsel (Kevin); her sister-in-law, Joyce Thrasher (Donny); her brother-in-law, Joseph Brown (Robin); and her parents-in-law, James and Julie Brown; and, of course, her many nephews and nieces and friends throughout the world.
An unbelievably strong person, she has touched so many people with her faith in God’s plan and overwhelming ability to always love others more than herself. She passed through this life quickly, but not without great impact.
A memorial service for Catherine will be held at the Grace Place, 5730 Shell Field Road, Enterprise, AL on Thursday, July 19th at 4:00PM. Her brother-in-law, Rev. Donny Thrasher will officiate. To honor Catherine, please make your donation to the American Cancer Society, c/o Linda Andress, PO Box 310900, Enterprise, AL 36330.
