Mrs. Mary Cathryn Glover Woodham, age 73, a resident of Texasville, died Friday, February 28, 2020, surrounded by her loving family at her residence following an extended illness.


Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2020, at Prospect Baptist Church with Reverend Hollis Ritter officiating.   Burial will follow at the Texasville Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home of Clayton directing.  The family will be receiving friends from 2 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Sunday at the church prior to services.


Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Institute El Rey, P.O. Box 3575, Moultrie, Georgia 31176 or to the Gideons International, P.O. Box 1257, Eufaula, Alabama 36072.


Mrs. Woodham, the daughter of Perry Lang Glover and Mary Ellen Key Glover, was born on February 7, 1947, in Barbour County.  She enjoyed reading, gardening, but most of all her grandchildren.  Mrs. Woodham was a homemaker and worked as a seasonal peanut grader and had worked with home healthcare.  She was a 1965 graduate of Louisville High School and was a member of Prospect Baptist Church.


She was preceded in death by her parents.


Survivors include her loving husband of 51 years, Ronny Woodham, Texasville; 3 daughters: Cindy Sharpless (David), Honduras; Cristy McDaniel (Zach), Ozark; Caryn Deloney (Steve), Skipperville; son, Collin Woodham (Kelly), Texasville; 11 grandchildren: Starla, Jason, Paige, Caitlin, Macy, Ciera, Breana, Michael, Shannon, Kalyn and Sophia; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters: Peggy Rogers, Columbus, Ga.; Judy Whiddon (Kent), Newville; Ellen Ryals, Blue Springs; 3 brothers: Perry Glover (Faye), Maddock, N.D.; Ronnie Glover (Kay), Eufaula; Joel Glover (Cindy), Abbeville; several nieces and nephews and cousins.


Active pallbearers will be Alan Parmer, Timothy Baxley, Tyler Ryals, Kendall Glover, John Caraway, and Sam Caraway.
