Cecil Hadden, age 81 of Dothan (Taylor) died late Wednesday evening at Hartford Health Care following an extended illness.                                                                       


A service of remembrance will be held at 3pm Saturday, December 7, 2019 in the Chapel at Family First Funeral Care with Reverend Don Hadden officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening, December 6, 2019 at the funeral home from 5pm until 7pm.


Cecil was born August 16, 1938 in Geneva County to the late Samuel Carson and Lela Mae Davis Hadden. He lived his entire life in the Wiregrass area and was an over the road truck driver until he retired. Cecil was a very charitable person and enjoyed helping others, always there for a friend in need. He enjoyed singing, dancing and watching old, classic Western picture shows. Cecil was of the Baptist faith.


In addition to his parents, Cecil was proceeded in death by three brothers, Toby Hadden, Cleve Hadden and Leamon Hadden. Survivors include his four daughters and a son-in-law, Robin Hadden Morrison and her husband, Curtis, of Ozark, Pam Gullet of Mississippi, Sherry Hadden of Wicksburg and Denise Moore of Dothan; a son and daughter-in-law, Greg Sheppard and his wife, Carol, of Pinkard. Cecil is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Linda Hadden Railey and her husband, Tony of Dothan; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren also survive.
