Cecil Jerome Varnum

Cecil Jerome Varnum, age 81 of Webb, passed away early Thursday morning, November 12, 2020 under Hospice care, following a lengthy illness. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10am on Monday, November 16, 2020 at the First Presbyterian Church, officiated by Pastor Adam Comeens. A private interment will be held at a later time. Friends may begin to pay respects beginning at 9am. In lieu
of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to Providence Christian School, 4847 Murphy Mill Road, Dothan, AL, 36303 or to First Presbyterian Church, 3012 W. Main Street, Dothan, AL, 36305. Common sense social distancing will be observed at the church and a facemask is mandatory.
Jerome was born October 18, 1939 in Dothan to the late Cecil and Blonnie Guy Varnum. He was a graduate of Rehobeth High School and was a local businessman, who owned several local businesses. In addition to his parents, Jerome is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Varnum, who passed away on June 10, 2020 and a sister, Shelby Williams. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Nina Varnum of Wilmington, NC and Trant and Karen Bullard of Dothan a daughter, Paige McCallister of Dothan; a
grandson, Nick McCallister of Atlanta; four granddaughters, Brandi Wallace (Chris), Amber Jones (Jacob), Cassie Hovey (Cade), all of Dothan and Carina Varnum of Wilmington, NC; four great-granddaughters, Emily Wallace, Alicia Wallace, Neelee Wallace and Avery Hovey; one great-grandson, Mac Hovey. Jerome is also survived by two sisters, Faye Turvin and Elaine Bridges, and a brother, LaDon Varnum, as well as
several nieces, nephews and cousins.
