BLUE SPRINGS. . .Cecil Warren Reeder, a resident of Blue Springs, died early Sunday morning, February 12, 2017, in the Ozark Health & Rehabilitation. He was 84.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 14, 2017, in the Springhill Baptist Church with Reverend Kenneth Preston officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in the church sanctuary.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions to the Texasville Fire Department, 2375 County Road 53, Clayton, AL 36016.
Mr. Reeder was a lifelong resident of Blue Springs, son of the late Amos Cecil Reeder and Irma Hagler Reeder. He served his country in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. Reeder was retired as the owner & operator of Reeder Trucking Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Tew Reeder, and two brothers, Tom Reeder and Ron Reeder.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Renee Van Uffelen (Jay), Blue Springs; and Cecilia Woodham, Ozark; three sons, Tony Reeder (Pam), Elamville; Tim Reeder (Michelle), Edwin Community; and Toby Reeder (Jodie), Ariton; ten grandchildren, Madison Woodham, Jason Woodham, Colt Reeder (Emily), Garrett Reeder (Katrina), Wyatt Reeder, Wesley Daniels (Linda), T.J. Reeder, Austin Reeder (Lainey), Colbie Harris (Gary) and Callie Rushing (Austin); six great-grandchildren; nieces, Rebecca Reeder (John) and Onah Reeder, a nephew, Todd Reeder (Hannah).
Serving as active pallbearers will be the grandsons.
