Chad Robert Day, 43, passed away in Pensacola, FL on January 21, 2015. He was born on January 24, 1971 in Fort Rucker, AL.


The memorial service will take place at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2015. The family will be receiving visitors one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the S.O.S Animal Shelter, 25944 Alabama Highway 84, Enterprise, AL  36330.


He graduated Enterprise High School with honors in 1989. He is also a graduate of Auburn University and remained loyal to the Orange and Blue. He was an excellent student, avid hunter, fisher, and golfer, and a constant and loving caretaker to his parents. He was employed by the Endoscopy Center of Pensacola as a Histology Supervisor. He loved his job and the people with whom he worked.


He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend.


As was his nature, in the end he continued to give to others as an organ donor.


He is predeceased by his grandparents Eva and Hjalmer Sordahl of Westby, WI and Maggie and Jim Day of Samson, AL. 


Chad was blessed to be survived by his daughter, Morgan Taylor Day, his two mothers, Michaela Day Jackson and Fran Day, his father William Robert (Bob) Day, and sisters Candace Day Hargraves and Tiffany Lawson (Marshall). He is also survived by two nieces, Ryan Hargraves and Rebecca Hargraves; two nephews, Josh Elledge (Anna) and Robert Hargraves, Jr; a great nephew, Jackson Lawson; a great niece, Maddie Lawson; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members.


He is also survived by his faithful and adored canine companion, Lillie Mae.


Chad never met a stranger and lived life to the fullest. He is survived by many lifelong friends, including Scott and Brian Jones, Dr. Aaron Milner, and Juli Cannon of Enterprise, Chris and Sarah Wells of Pensacola, and many more too numerous to list.
