Charles Junior Boswell age 79, a resident of Elba, Alabama passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Serenity South Enterprise Assisted Living Facility in Enterprise, Alabama. Funeral services will be held at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 beginning at 11:00 AM with Rev. Wayne Sharpe officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Adam Carlee conducting the committal service. Visitation will be at Hayes Funeral Home on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The family request the omission of flowers, and ask memorials be made to the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery, c/o 3159 Hwy 87, Samson, AL 36477.
Mr. Boswell is survived by his son, Keith (Dana) Boswell, Elba, AL, daughter, Cindy (Eric) Gibson, Elba, AL, granddaughter, Nicole Boswell (Josh) Reeves, Slocomb, AL, grandson, Hunter (Marlee) Boswell, Slocomb, AL, granddaughter, McKinley Gibson, Elba, AL, and grandson, Wade Gibson, Elba, AL, along with two great granddaughters, Annistyn Lyla Reeves, and Annleigh Faye Boswell both of Slocomb, Alabama. He also leaves behind sister, Sara Boswell, Elba, AL, sister, Louise Ezell, Enterprise, AL, sister, Mary Wallace, Elba, AL, sister, Christine Lowry, Jack, AL, brother, Kenneth (Melinda) Boswell of Enterprise, AL, sister, Janet Boswell of Opp, AL, along with several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Jeanette Boswell, parents, Annis Belle and Johnny Andrew Boswell, along with a brother, Lamar Boswell.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Boswell, Matt Boswell, Toby Lowry, Wade Gibson, Hunter Boswell, and Josh Reeves.
The family would like to publicly thank Enhabit Hospice along with the staff of Serenity South Enterprise Assisted Living Facility for the loving care provided to Charles during his time spent under their care. Their dedication and attentiveness to his needs will never be forgotten.
