Charles Clinton “Clint” Norwood passed away on December 30, 2019 after a long battle of cancer. He was 62 years old.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, January 2, 2020 with Military honors, at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.

Clint was born on September 22, 1957 to Charles and Gaynell Norwood. Clint joined the United States Air Force in 1975. He later would attend Wallace Community College and Troy University to receive his BA in Psychology. In his later years he would become a project manager for Mitchell Electric Inc. Clint was an avid Alabama football fan and enjoyed raising and showing off his tropical killifish. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and being “Poppy” to his grandchildren.

Clint was preceded in death by his father, Charles Norwood.

He was survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Tami Norwood; his sons, Brandon and Blake Norwood; his two grandchildren, Kirsten and Bentley Norwood; his mother, Gaynell Norwood; his brother, Greg Norwood; his sister, Deborah Schraeder; his K-9 companion, Sophie “Pup Pup”; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

A special thanks to Covenant Care Hospice and his nurse Cynthia Longrear for all the love and care they showed Clint and his family during this time of need.
