CHARLES ELLIS ROLLINS
ABBEVILLE. . . Charles Ellis Rollins, a resident of County Road 96, Abbeville, died Friday night, March 9, 2012, at his residence. He was 64.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 12, 2012 in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary chapel with Reverend Thomas D. Gamble officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Monday at the mortuary. At other times the family will be at the home of a sister, Brenda Money, Alberta Drive, Abbeville.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1449 Medical Park Dr., Birmingham, AL 35213.
Mr. Rollins was born and reared in Abbeville, son of the late Charles Wilson Rollins and Mattie Lucy Money Rollins. He lived in Atlanta before returning to Abbeville in 1980. He was formerly employed by Franklin Hardwood and Champion Wood Products in Abbeville and while living in Atlanta, Atlanta Casket Company. Mr. Rollins was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Rollins and Tommy Rollins.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Danette Patterson Rollins, Abbeville; two daughters, Diane Millwater and husband, Michael, Dothan; Ariel Rollins, Ft. Gaines, GA; a son, Joel Rollins and wife, Danielle, of Abbeville; a step-son Raynard Johnson, Abbeville; three grandchildren, Ravyn Rollins, Brodie Rollins, and Haleigh Millwater; three sisters, Brenda Money and husband, Jerry, Bessie Hammock and husband, Charlie, and Lucy Bearry and husband, Kermit, all of Abbeville.
