CHARLES EMORY ARNOLD
DOTHAN…Charles Emory Arnold, a resident of Dothan,, died Friday, October 18th at his home after a extended illness. He was 78.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, October 19, 2019, at Wright Funeral Home Chapel in Headland with Pastor Stuart Tullis officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive extended family and friends at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. before the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to CareSouth, 205 Graceland Drive Suite 3, Dothan, Alabama 36305.
Emory was born to the late Randall Houston Arnold and Irelle Hodges Arnold, in Headland, but lived most of his adult lifetime in Dothan. He was retired from Great Southern Paper in Cedar Springs, Georgia after twenty-eight years employment. In later years, he was employed by AAA Cooper in Dothan as a rate quote operator. Mr. Arnold was also preceded in death by a son, Jamey Arnold, three brothers, Gerald Arnold and his wife, Ruby Arnold, and Billy Mack Arnold, and Jimmy Royce Arnold, two sisters, Susan Lorraine Arnold and Miriam Shelley.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife of 59 years, Wylene Pearce Arnold; sisters, Brenda Jones (Jerry) of Headland, and Debbie Gamble (Bill) of Headland; a brother-in-law, Tom Shelley, of the Tumbleton Community, special cousins Edwina McClenney (Frank), and Samantha Voak (Clint); several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
