CHARLES MICHAEL “MIKE” ADAMS

ASHFORD… Charles Michael “Mike” Adams, a resident of Ashford, Alabama passed away Monday night, August 19, 2024, at his home. He was released from his pain and suffering to eternal peace and rest. He was 63.

          Abiding by Mike’s wishes there will be no services. His family wishes to express its sincere gratitude for all of the prayers, food, and loving acts of kindness that have been extended during this most difficult time.

          Born to Homer Lee (Bud) Adams and Annette Alley Adams on October 15, 1960, and living his whole life in Ashford, Alabama. He was a 1980 graduate of Ashford High School. Mike was a man with many talents and was led to carpentry as his chosen profession. Owning and operating his own framing company, Adams Construction, for 35 years. He was dedicated to his craft and was a meticulous and precise home builder. He passed his knowledge to his three sons, who was his crew. Each one joining the business after graduating school. Mike was a man of few words. He showed his love for his family in his actions. He worked extremely hard under often brutal physical conditions to provide for his loved ones. His creativity knew no limits and he was always reading and learning about new interests, including knife making, stained glass, wood carvings, furniture building and so many more.

          He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Homer Lee (Sonny) Adams; and his sisters, Becky Shelley and Tracey Rambin.

          Left to grieve his passing are his wife of forty-three years, Laura Adams; his devoted sons, Ben Adams, Matt Adams, and Chris Adams; his sister, Glenda Stokes; his brother Jasper Adams (Sherri); and his many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
