KINSEY. . .Charles Mitch Mitchell, Jr., a resident of Kinsey, died late Friday morning, April 29, 2022, in a Dothan hospital. He was 67.


Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 2, 2022, in Gardens of Memory, between Headland & Dothan, with Reverend George Bryan officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. At other times, the family will be at the home of his son in Dothan.


Mr. Mitchell was born in Moultrie, Georgia and was reared in Boston, Georgia and Thomasville, Georgia. He was the son of the late Charles Mitch Mitchell, Sr. and Evelyn Bailey Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell served his country in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam War era. He moved to Kinsey in 2002. Mr. Mitchell retired as the owner and operator of Wildcard Xpress. In earlier years, he was employed by GE in Dothan as a Service Technician.


Surviving relatives include his wife, Linda Bradley Mitchell, four sons, Shawn Mitchell (Whitney), Dothan; Christopher Chambliss (Beth), Malone, FL; Chad Chambliss, Malone, FL; and Charlie Mitchell, Thomasville, GA; two sisters, Cindy White (Jerry), Meigs, Ga; and Anne Dollison (Kenneth), Jacksonville, FL; two brothers, Thomas Mitchell (Kitty Sue), Dothan; and Jeffrey Mitchell, Monticello, FL; a sister-in-law, Betty Coleman, Cottondale, FL; several grandchildren, one great-granddaughter.
