HEADLAND.…Charles P. “Chuck” Morales, a resident of Headland, Alabama, passed away Saturday evening, January 9, 2021, at a Dothan hospital. He was 73.
Graveside services will be held 12:30 P.M. Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Blackwood Church Cemetery with Bro. Bill Smith and Pastor David Maddox officiating. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Tuesday before the graveside service. All Covid-19 social distancing requirements will be in place.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to the Blackwood Church Cemetery fund; c/o Janice Hodges Green, 155 Sweetwater Dr., Headland, Alabama 36345.
Mr. Morales was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Daniel Morales and Alfonsa Gonzales Reyes. He attended Blackwood Church. He was retired from the City of Dothan, with the street department and also the water department. In his spare time, he loved going to Sadie’s Flea Market.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife of forty-nine years, Rhonda Morales; his daughters, Samone Kilpatrick (Brad) of Dothan, and Sara Morales of Headland; his grandchildren, Emma Kilpatrick and Jaxson Kilpatrick; his sisters, Alice, Sana, Lana, Linda, and Debbie; his brothers, Danny and Billy; his sisters-in-law, Lynn Dahle and Wanda Morales; and several nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be John Faison, Derek Faison, Joey Floyd, Joey Hodges, Brad Kilpatrick, John Kilpatrick, Andy Davis, and Jason Meis.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Donald Battle, Jackie Battle, Kendrick Spurling, Loyd Bryant, Robert Gamble, Gary Enfinger, and David Reynolds.
