ABBEVILLE. . .Charles Wynn Mathison, a resident of Abbeville, died Tuesday night, July 7, 2015, in the Twin Magnolias Assisted Living. He was 64.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Safe Haven Animal Rescue & Kennels (S.H.A.R.K.), c/o Vickie Bedsole, P.O. Box 126, Abbeville, AL 36310, or to Covenant Hospice, 104 Rock Bridge Road, Dothan, AL 36303.
Wynn Mathison was born and reared in Abbeville, son of the late Charles Mathison and Joy Wynn Mathison. He was a graduate of Abbeville High School and attended Troy University. Wynn was a member of the First Baptist Church of Abbeville.
Surviving relatives include a sister, Nancy Mathison Mino (Jim); a niece, Laura Mino Verner (Burton), all of Vestavia Hills, AL; a great-niece, and three great-nephews; an aunt, Etoil Mathison, Abbeville.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Darden Kirby and the staff of Twin Magnolias Assisted Living, Covenant Hospice, and Steve Flournoy for their care and compassion shown to Wynn.
