Charlotte McGuire Barber, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2024, at Westside Terrace. She was 87. Born on April 18, 1936, in Youngstown, Ohio, Charlotte’s life was a testament to her enduring warmth and dedication to those she cherished.
There are no services planned at this time.
Charlotte was a proud graduate of East Palestine High School in Ohio and furthered her education at the prestigious Johns Hopkins School of X-ray Technology. Her professional journey was marked by a remarkable 25-year tenure at SAMC, where she specialized in mammography, touching the lives of countless individuals with her care.
She is predeceased by her parents, Charles McGuire and Elizabeth Nash McGuire, and her grandson, Erik Barber.
Charlotte’s legacy continues through her loving family. She is survived by her devoted sons, Wesley Barber (Melissa) and Steven Barber (Mary) Her adored grandchildren, Molly Matthews, Cailyn McCoy, , and Keith McCoy (Christen). Her great-grandchildren, Caylen Spurlock, Bryleigh McCoy, and Delevin McClendon, will miss her deeply. Charlotte also leaves behind her niece, Heather McGuire (Rob Eckley), her nephew, Rob McGuire, and her special friend, Pat Roberts, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Her loving and passionate nature was evident in every interaction, and her memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit, characterized by kindness and a genuine concern for others, will continue to inspire and guide her family for generations to come.
The family would like to thank the staff of Westside Terrace for taking such good care of Ms. Barber.
