Mrs. Alice “Cheryl” Bradshaw Etheredge, age 63, of Ashford, Alabama passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017.
Cheryl is survived by her husband of 43 years, James Earl Etheredge of Ashford, Alabama. She had two children, Jessica Etheredge Vaughn (Marc) and Andrew Etheredge (Kara). Cheryl had three grandchildren; Olivia Grace Vaughn, John Mitchell Vaughn and Andrew James Etheredge. She had one sister, Angela Bradshaw Thomas (Scott), and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Cheryl was born on February 11, 1954 in Dothan, Alabama to Mitchell and Freddie May Bradshaw. She graduated from Ashford Academy in 1972 and attended Wallace Community College. Later, Cheryl retired as the school secretary of Ashford Elementary. Cheryl was a faithful member of Dothan First Assembly. She was a God-fearing and devoted wife, mother, friend and a blessing to all who crossed her path. Cheryl had a heart of Christ, as she always put others’ needs above her own.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 12:00-1:30pm at Dothan First Assembly with Funeral services held immediately following with Reverend Mark Benson and Reverend Murray Kelley. Burial will follow at the Ashford City Cemetery, in Ashford, Alabama. Arrangements are with Ward Wilson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Scott Thomas IV, Reverend Stephen Etheridge, Darrin Cobb, Durwood Doswell, Troy Rhoades, Reverend Scott Crooms, Steven Nall, and Tim Purvis.
The family will receive flowers or donations may be made to Dothan First Assembly’s Missions Fund.
The family of Cheryl Etheredge wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. A. Roland Spedale Jr., MD and staff, as well as the other medical healthcare professionals of Flowers Hospital, Kroger Infusion Services, and Olson Nutrition of Birmingham.
