Chester Eugene “Jess” Frymyer, Sr., a resident of Ariton, AL passed away on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Compassus Bethany House Hospice in Auburn, AL following an extended illness. He was 81.


A celebration of his life will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.


Mr. Frymyer was born on July 21, 1938 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He joined the US Army and served for 11 years. Mr. Frymyer was a veteran of the Korean War. He resided in Williston, Florida until moving to Ariton, AL in 2006. Following his military service, Mr. Frymyer drove a truck until his retirement. He was a member of the DAV and of the Lutheran Church in Rothsville, PA.


Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Lisa Frymyer; his daughter, Caryn Frymyer; his grandchildren, Chloe Williams and Trevor Williams.
