Give her the sky, and she will soar among the mighty clouds; grant her the wind and she will fly beneath the radiant sun; dare her to create, and she will amaze and inspire with her talents, lend her the ocean, and she will swim farther than the tides; send her someone in need, and she will lift them up with her smile and generosity; join her presence, and you will laugh finding joy side by side.
Christina “Nina” Jeanette Morseth’s sweet soul was set free to join her Lord in Heaven at age 32, on Thursday, October 14, 2021. Family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Life with a Celebration Reception to follow on Friday, October 29, 2021, beginning at 10 AM at Sunset Funeral Home. The chapel celebration will be live streamed on Nina’s tribute page on the Sunset website.
Nina soared into this world on January 8, 1989, in Newark, Ohio, into the arms of her parents Wayne and Janet Morseth (she took pride in sharing a birthday with Elvis Presley). Growing up with her brother Justin and sister Stacey, she cherished the times swimming in the family pool, sledding in the winter, being dragged to her siblings extra curricular activities, and watching beloved Disney Movies over and over again. As Nina matured, she began to discover her creativity and love for art, and following high school, Nina attended The Columbus College of Art & Design.
Nina was a “free spirit” throughout her life, expressing herself through her sketches, sculptures, and paintings, but especially through her beautiful smile and contagious laughter. She loved all creatures on Earth, especially her family, all animals, and anyone she was fortunate enough to meet. She was all accepting, even the “downtrodden.”
Nina is now reunited with her beloved kitten Loki, horses Misty & Svartur, and pig Nelly Belly. Left behind to celebrate the special memories and stories are Nina’s parents, Wayne & Janet Morseth; brother and sister-in-law, Justin & Megan Morseth; sister, Stacey O’Connell; nephews and nieces, Sander, Cora, Isabella, & Grayson; boyfriend, Dale Gremillion; and favorite uncle Rich Korsgarden.
To honor and celebrate Nina’s life and spirit, her family encourages donations to The Brent Shapiro Foundation for Alcohol and Drug Awareness at https://www.brentshapiro.org/ or the Wiregrass Humane Society at https://www.wiregrasshumanesociety.com/.
She was not a drop in the ocean; she was the entire ocean in a drop.
