Date of Service: A private graveside service will be held in Memory Hill Cemetery with Pastor Teresa Seevers and Dr. Jerry Grandstaff officiating. A celebration of her life will be held at 7:00 pm on Saturday, August 15, 2020 in the Amphitheater at the National Peanut Festival Fair Grounds. Before her illness, Patty was working to replace the children’s playground at Greystone that had been destroyed by a tornado. In lieu of flowers we ask that you make a donation in Patty’s memory to the Greystone UMC playground fund.

Christina Patricia “Patty” Johnson, a resident of the Rehobeth Community, passed away on Tuesday, July 21,2020 in a local hospital following a brief illness. She was 59 years old.
A private graveside service will be held in Sunset Memorial Park with Pastor Teresa Seevers and Dr. Jerry Grandstaff officiating. A celebration of her life will be held at 7:00 pm on Saturday, August 15, 2020 in the Amphitheater at the National Peanut Festival Fair Grounds. Patty will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her love for her family, and for anyone she met, and her angelic singing voice.
Patty was preceded in death by her father, Bobby D. Goins.
Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Michael Johnson; her children, Justin Godwin (Michelle), Danielle Atwell (Amory), Bethany McGhee (Shaun), Blake Johnson (Brooke); her mother, Wilma Goins; her brother, Cary Goins (Veronica); 9 Grandchildren, Addison Godwin, Kaylee Green (Caleb), Kailyn Green, Carter and Reagan Stevens, Stedman, Sebastian and Maverick McGhee and Parker Johnson; one great grandchild, Emery Knighton; and her two grand dogs, Sassy and Princess.
