Christine Ann Watkins

Christine Ann Watkins, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023. She was 74 years old.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Saint Columba Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Sunset Funeral Home from 4-6 pm on Friday, January 20, 2023. A rosary service will begin at 6pm on Friday evening. Christine was born on July 11, 1948 to the late Carl and Mary Mills in Washington DC. She enjoyed shopping and sailing aboard the family sailboat with her husband. With her outgoing personality, sense of humor and positive outlook on life, she easily made many lifelong friends including book club groups from Sommerville, SC and Pensacola, FL. She loved her family dearly and was so proud of all her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Norman “Buddy” Watkins; her children, Christy (Doug) Edgeworth, Cathy Staffieri, Carl (Susan) Watkins, and Cindy Watkins; her grandchildren, Brian Dingle, Katie Dingle, Allie Dingle, Nick Staffieri, Matt Staffieri, Anna Carothers, Ashley Watkins, Emily Watkins, McKenna Watkins, James Golden, and Elizabeth Golden; and a host of extended family members and friends.
