Christopher Edward Cannon, 50, a resident of Dothan passed away Friday May 6, 2016.


Christopher was born in Annapolis, Maryland in Annie Anural County on base, and then lived in the Thomas County, Georgia area for some time growing up. Then moving to Dothan Alabama in 1976. He was a freelance painter for many years in the Dothan area. He was well known for his art work on several business windows in this area. He was loved by everyone he met and cared for many people as if they were family.


He fought a long battle with diabetes and had a kidney, pancreas transplant in 1995 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. He was a security guard there before returning to Dothan. He lived a good life for 15 years before they too failed. He suffered and battled with this illness for some time now. He is suffering NO MORE!!


He is preceded in death by his parents, Homer W. Cannon and Phyllis Boyette Cannon, and a sister Pamela Cannon Joiner.


Christopher is survived by a sister, Wanda Cannon Kelley of Cairo, GA; brothers, Noel Cannon and wife Kym of Atlanta, GA, Dan Cannon of Moultrie, GA and Wellington Cannon and wife Lee of Dothan, AL; nieces, Emily Casteel, Kristie Horton, Hanna Cannon; nephews, Justin Cannon, Earl Register, Vann and Bennett Cannon, Ken, Jaran and Aric Cannon; and many more that loved him.
