Christopher Lee “Chris” Carroll Jr.

Christopher Lee “Chris” Carroll Jr. was born June 27th of 2000 and gained eternal life in heaven on January 18th of 2023 at the age of 22.

A celebration of Chris’ life will be held 11 am Saturday February 11, 2023 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. DeVaunte Glanton officiating. Full military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Burial will follow in Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Friday evening at the funeral home.

He graduated from Geneva County High School in 2018 and immediately left for Basic Training to the United States Navy. He served his country aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN71), completing 2 deployments in support of operations and security across the Pacific. Christopher enjoyed his family and friends. He was one of the most genuine and caring people you could ever meet. Chris was always willing to help anyone and spread joy with his bright smile and beautiful eyes.

He was preceded in death by his aunt, Lakisha Parks, and his loving mother, Taniki Parks, who certainly welcomed him home with open arms.

Christopher is survived by sister, Nikita Parks, Nephew and niece (Zoë&Cyiere), grandmother, Yvonne Parks, bonus mom, Amanda Dixon (Ethan Boykin). He will be remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
