Christopher Stephen Staley of Geneva, AL passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. He was 41 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 10, 2023, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Crooms officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Chris was born in Geneva, AL on September 12, 1981, to Danny and Cindy Hughes Staley. Chris was a proud graduate of the Geneva High School class of 1999 where he played football, basketball, and was an avid baseball player. After graduation he attended Enterprise State Community College. Chris was a die-hard Auburn Tiger Football fan. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force.

Chris enjoyed hunting and fishing with his dad, drawing, painting, collecting coins, and joking around with his family and friends. He was most passionate about the time spent with his daughter, Ariel. He especially enjoyed the time they shared when riding four wheelers and watching movies together. Chris will be remembered for his compassionate heart and his willingness to help anyone in need.

Chris is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert Staley, Robert Hughes and James Strickland; one uncle, Timothy Hughes.

Chris is survived by his daughter, Ariel Nicole Staley of Geneva, AL; father and mother, Danny and Cindy Staley of Geneva, AL; grandparents, Annette Staley, and Linda Gail Strickland both of Geneva, AL; aunts and uncles, Deborah Gilbert, Dianna Green (Kevin), Bobby Hughes (Laurie), Russell Hughes (Dena), Ginny Wood, and Debbie Friend (Jerry); and many special cousins, and friends.
