Clara Mae Parker, 98 years old of Hartford, AL, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at her home following an extended illness. The funeral will be held at Bottoms Garden Chapel in Hartford, AL on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Scott Cox officiating. Burial will be at the Tabernacle Methodist Church Cemetery with Jimmy Bottoms of Bottoms Garden Chapel of Hartford directing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.


 


Mrs. Parker was a long time resident of Geneva County where she spent most of her life as a homemaker. She was a very loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother, and Friend.


 


Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Robert (Bob) Parker; her parents, Dock Oliver & Ada Bell Nall; four brothers, Travis Nall, Tullis Nall, Auburn Nall, and Murdock Nall all of Columbia, AL; one daughter and son-in-law, Dollie & Foyette Austin of Wicksburg, AL; and one son, Dennis Parker of Midalothian, TX.


 


Survivors include her daughter, Sarah Blackburn of Hartford, AL; daughter-in-law, Diana Parker of Midalothian, TX; four grandchildren, Denise (Mike) Fitzgerald of Hartford, AL, Shanda (Kevin) Battles and Lee (Christi) Austin both of Wicksburg, AL, Jeff (Suzie) Parker of Midalothian, TX, Chris (MaryJane) Poole of Tomball, TX; twelve great grandchildren, Jared (Carmen) Bottoms and Brianne Fitzgerald both of Hartford, AL, Leeah Austin & Trent Austin, Tyler (Regan) Johnson and Kayla (William) Hart all of Wicksburg, AL, Clint (Bailey) Battles of Slocomb, AL, Rachel and Riley Poole of Tomball, TX, Claira, Maddie Mae, and Hunter Parker of Grandview, TX; five great great grandchildren, Noah Bottoms & Hadley Fitzgerald of Hartford, AL, Asher, Austin, & Able Hart of Wicksburg, AL and Jules Battles of Slocomb, AL.


 


Flowers will be accepted as well as donations to be made to Kindred Hospice in memory of Clara Mae Parker. (Donations may be mailed to Kindred Hospice- 2740 Headland Ave. Dothan, AL 36303)
