 Clarence Herman Relf


Mr. Clarence Herman Relf was the third child born January 31, 1928 to Ulessly and Clara-Lomax Relf in Montgomery, Alabama. Mr. Relf departed this life on August 4, 2015 at his home in Dothan, Alabama.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Mrs. Redell Reece-Relf of 58 years and siblings Eddie Relf, Celestine Relf-Thomas and Adolphus Patterson.


Clarence joined the US Navy at an early age and after his tour of duty, he received an honorable discharge. 


Clarence loved life and lived it His Way.  He was known to his friends as “Yack”.  He was an avid card player and was always competitive and daring.


Clarence (Yack) leaves to cherish his memories, sisters Leslie Relf-Gibson, Cleveland Heights, Ohio; Mildred Relf (Governor) Carlisle, Montgomery, Alabama; brother Ulessly B. Relf (Shirley) Silver Spring, Maryland. In addition he is survived by Sisters-in-law Debbie Jean Patterson, (Montgomery, Ala) Anne L. Ingram, (Dothan, Alabama) Esther (Donald) Stenson (Columbus, Georgia) and brother in law Willie (Lucy) Reece, Montgomery, Alabama.


Clarence was also known as Uncle Harry Goldie to his nieces and nephews who have unforgettable and fun memories.
