Clevester Grissett, 93, a resident of Dothan passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Wesley Manor.

Funeral services will be 2pm Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Don Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Chapel Cemetery in Jack, AL with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Grissett was born October 27, 1920 in Pike County and moved to Winter Garden, FL. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. During his service he was awarded the Purple Heart Award and 3 Bronze Stars. He moved to Ashford 3 years ago after living in Andalusia for over 20 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Elma Grissett, his parents Jeff and Mae Grissett, and his brothers Henry and Willie Grissett.

Survivors include his son, David Grissett; a daughter Cheryl (Tony) Danford; grandchildren, Brandon Martin, Jessica Miller, Cassandra Danford, and Caitlin Senn; 3 great-grandchildren.
