Clifford Harold (Pete) Ford, Sr. of Fairburn, Georgia, died Monday, September 10, 2012.  He was 79 years of age.


          Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 15th at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.  Burial will follow with Searcy Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at Searcy Funeral Home in Enterprise at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday.  Following the graveside service, the family will receive friends at the VFW in Daleville from 11:30 to 1:00 P.M.


          Clifford was born on January 18, 1933 to Clifford and Mary Ford of Willow Grove, Delaware.  A distinguished 34 year veteran of the US Army, Clifford spent two tours in Vietnam and one tour in Korea.  After retiring to Daleville, he became very active in the VFW posts in Daleville and Enterprise before moving to Fairburn.


           Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Mrs. Linda Ford of Fairburn, GA; five sons, Butch Ford, Daytona, FL; Richard Ford, Newberg, OR; Ed Ford,  Camden, DE; Clifford Ford, Jr.; Atlanta, GA; Jerry Ford, Fairburn, GA; one step-son, Clint Coslett, Ozark, AL; three daughters, Debbie Jackson, West Friendship, MD; Vanessa Marlow, New Castle, DE; Wanda Torrie, Milford, DE; two brothers, Leroy Ford, Willow Grove, DE; Richard Ford, Clayton, DE; one sister, Betty Fuhr, Willow Grove, DE; 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
