Codye Gene Wilkerson, 71, of Napier Field, passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be 11 am Friday November 25, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Goldsmith officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd Directing. The family will receive friends 10-11 am prior to the service.

Mr. Wilkerson was born in Black, Alabama. He resided most of his life in Plant City, Florida until he moved to Dothan in 1988. He was employed with P.C.'s Nursery for several years until his retirement in 2003.

He is survived by, his wife, Ruby Wilkerson; his sons, Gene (Rhea) Dilloway, Codye Gene (April) Wilkerson Jr., Jason (Maranda) Wilkerson; his daughter, Linda (Grant) McPeak; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, William (Eva) Wilkerson, Lester Wilkerson, Larry (Brenda) Wilkerson; 3 sisters, Martha Rogers, Jearl Dean (Bruce) Hutto, Dovie Teal; and several nieces and nephews.
