Robert (Bob) Cook (Retired Colonel U.S. Air Force) age 76, a resident of Dothan died Tuesday May 12, 2015 at his residence after an extended illness.
Kendall Glover of Glover Funeral Home is in charge of cremation services. There will be no memorial service at this time.

Colonel Cook was born on September 6, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Stanley and Margaret Haney Cook. He retired in 1993 from the U.S. Air Force and moved to Dothan in 2000. Throughout Colonel Cook’s decorated and storied military career, he served as a Logistician, Foreign Military Sales Manager, Base Commander, tours in Vietnam and Korea, three Presidential Base Closure and Realignment Commissions, and as Special Advisor of the Alabama Job Creation and Military Stability Commission, and as Chair of the Commission. He also was Co-chairman of the Marshall’s Committee for The Future Masters Tournament at the Dothan Country Club; he was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Nativity and a graduate of The Ohio State University.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include: wife of 13 years, Sherry Cook, Dothan; two sons, Robert Cook, Jr., Los Angeles, Ca.; Scott Cook, San Antonio, Tx.; 1 granddaughter, Kristen Cook, San Antonio, Tx.; 1 great-grandson, Wesley Cook, Houston, Tx.; 1 step-son, Mark Wager (Andrea), Ft. Wayne, IN.; 1 step-daughter, Lori Halverson (Brent), Denver, Co.; 2 brothers, Doug Cook, Sioux Falls, S.D.; Richard Cook (Maureen), Cleveland, Oh.; 8 step-grandchildren, Samantha Monhollen, Lauren Mueller, Mark Wager, Jr., Chelsea Heath, Andrew Wager, Mikayla Wager, Austin Halverson, and Emily Halverson; 10 step-great-grandchildren
