Curtis Raiford Blair of Midland City, AL passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Wiregrass Medical Center. He was 79.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2023, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Curtis was born on May 14, 1944, in Coffee Co., AL to the late Curtis Ivey and Statie Weeks Blair. He proudly served in the US Army. He was the owner of B&S Firestone prior to his retirement. He was not only loved by his family, but many friends loved and respected him also. He possessed a gentle spirit and always saw the bright side of any situation. Curtis will be truly missed by those who knew him and loved him most.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sarah Elizabeth Phillips Blair.
Curtis is survived by one step-daughter, Amanda Mobley (Michael) of Enterprise, AL; step-grandson, Mason Mobley; three siblings, Ron Blair (Mary) of Graceville, FL, Lynda Martin (James) of Bonifay, FL and Ray Blair (Gail) of Daleville, AL; niece and nephews, Michelle Powell (Randy) of Bonifay, FL, Stacy Blair of Bonifay, FL and Zack Blair (Jennifer) of Milton, FL; several great nieces and nephews, a great friend, Don Smith of Midland City, AL.
