CW4 Jason William McCormack, 43, of Fort Rucker/Enterprise, AL., was lost while conducting a training flight in South Korea on November 23, 2015.
Jason was born on September 3, 1972 in Maryland. He enlisted in the United States Army on June 21, 1995, as a Forward Observer. In 2003, Jason was selected to be an Aviation Warrant Officer. After successfully completing all of his military flight and officer training, Jason graduated as an AH-64 pilot in September 2004, and spent the next 12 years progressing to the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4, proving to be the consummate attack pilot. Jason loved to fly the most sophisticated of aircraft and driving sports cars with his son. He shared his knowledge and humor with everyone he met, positively impacting all who knew him.
As extraordinarily successful of an officer as Jason was, he was an even better husband and father. Jason was fully devoted to the love of his life Sadie, and fiercely proud of their son Cameron and daughter Addison. He is survived by his parents, Phyllis (Carl) McCormack, William Hubbard, step-sister Erin (Daniel) Pake, step-brother Colin (Melissa) McCormack, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Wing’s Chapel on Fort Rucker on December 4th, 2015 at 3 pm.
Jason’s final resting place will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
