CW4 (RET) William (Bill) X. Pate III of Enterprise, AL passed away Friday, July 26, 2024 at his home.  He was 69.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel.  Burial with full military honors will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time.   Flowers will be accepted or memorials made to New Promise Cancer Foundation, 287 Healthwest Drive, Dothan, AL 36303.

Bill retired from the US Army as a CW4 after 20 years service.  After his retirement, he became an Instructor for a military contractor.  He enjoyed traveling across country with his wife and father on their Honda Goldwing.  He loved spoiling his grandchildren and was also a wonderful and loving husband and father.

Mr. Pate was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Jo Cauley Pate.

 

Survivors include his wife, Connie Pate, Enterprise, AL; daughter, Carrie Pate McBride (Patrick), Dothan, AL; son, Casey Pate (Julie), Jackson, MS; 5 grandchildren, Carleigh, Calleigh, Pate, Alice and Sam; father, William X. Pate Jr., Clarksville, FL; sisters, Lucinda Pate McAlister, Dothan, AL, Tammy Pate Cosson, Vernon, FL.
