DOTHAN.…Cynthia Diane Ward Baxley, a resident of Dothan, AL, passed away Saturday afternoon, October 24, 2020, at a Dothan Hospital. She was 66.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel, with Reverend George Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in the Camp Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory before the service. All Covid-19 social distancing guidelines will be implemented. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to serve the Baxley family.
Mrs. Baxley was born in Houston County to the late Robert Junior Ward and Myra Nell Whitehead. She had previously lived in Abbeville, Echo, Midland City, and Headland, before moving to Dothan about 25 years ago. She was a graduate of Abbeville High School. Before being medically retired, she worked in retail at K-mart and also Southern Flooring.
Leaving to cherish her memories are her husband, Roger Baxley; her daughter, Kim Woodham; her son, Timmy Baxley and his wife, Bonnie; her grandchildren, Hunter Woodham, and Maci Woodham; all of Dothan; her sister, Sheila Elliott and her husband, Mike; her nieces, Casey Powell and her husband, Philip, and Brittany Elliott, all of Columbia; and a very special aunt, Bobbie Singletary.
