CYNTHIA TEAL ROGERS
DOTHAN. . .Cynthia Teal Rogers, a resident of Dothan, died Saturday morning, June 17, 2017, at her home. She was 65.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 20, 2017, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Mike Griggs officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, between Headland & Dothan. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Monday at the mortuary in Headland.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Alabama Institute for the Deaf &Blind, 205 East South Street, Talladega, AL 35160.
Mrs. Rogers was born in Barbour County, Alabama and was a graduate of the Alabama Institute For the Deaf & Blind in Talladega. She lived in Dothan most of her adult lifetime. Mrs. Rogers was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Teal, her mother, Delphine Gulledge Griggs, and her step-father, Robert Neal Griggs, Sr.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Jason Eldridge Rogers; three daughters, Amanda Parrish (James), Moriah Kirkland, and April Everett (Darryl); a son, Eric Rogers, all of Dothan; a sister, Lucinda Tabor, Newport, NC; three brothers, Rev. Mike Griggs (Brenda), Midland City; Kenneth Teal, Cottonwood; and Steve Teal, Headland; seven grandchildren, Chris Watkins, Tiffany Sorrells (Alex), Chasity Scrimpsher, Braden Henderson, Jackson Henderson, Ethan Everett, and Cheyenne Everett; a great-grandson, Reece Watkins; several nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Kevin Teal, Jayme Songy, Hayes Gilbert, Chris Watkins, James Ralston and Darryl Loftis.
