OZARK… Mrs. D. Eileen Yearick Williamson, a resident of Ozark, died Tuesday morning, October 4, 2022, at her home. She was 87.
In keeping with the wishes of the family, there are no public services planned at this time. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Williamson, daughter of the late True Yearick and Alice Biddle Yearick, was a native of Flemington, Pennsylvania. She formerly lived in Swissdale and Altoona, Pennsylvania before moving to Ozark in 2001. Mrs. Williamson was an avid Square Dancer and choreographer who was also a Round Dance caller and made her own choreography. She was a member of the United Square Dancers of America, and she sang “God Bless America, Again” at the first Pennsylvania Square/Round Dance Convention in front of a crowd of 4,000. Mrs. Williamson was a member of Roundalab, a round dance teachers’ organization, also a member of “Y” Squares, Square Dance Club of Enterprise and Do Sa Do’s Square Dance Club of Dothan.
She was a member of the Gold Wing Motorcycle Club Chapter U in Dothan and a member of the Patriot Guard Motorcycle Club. Mrs. Williamson enjoyed baking, making candies, cookies, cakes and making crochet hats for newborns and Octopus for Premies in NICU. One of her most cherished things to do was spending time with her family and having family gatherings. She was an active member of Westview Heights United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing in the church choir.
Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by three sons, Don Williamson, Norman Williamson, and Bruce Williamson, III and a grandson, Donald Edgar Williamson.
Surviving relatives include her husband of seventy years, Bruce R. Williamson, Jr.; two daughters, Lauvon Stephenson and husband, Tim and Angeline Schenk, and husband, William, all of Ozark; three sons, True James Williamson and wife, Geri, Tennessee, Howard Williamson and wife, Marcia, Pennsylvania, and Glenn Williamson and wife, Melanie Woolet, Marianna, Florida; a sister, Georgie Bowman, Richard; a brother, John Yearick and wife, Mary, all of Pennsylvania; sisters-in-law, Nancy Mae Karichner, Woolrich, Pennsylvania and Jean Henry, Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania; fifteen grandchildren, Daniel Messenger (Victoria), Andrea Gordon (Scott), Nicole Boynton (TSgt, United States Air Force, Retired) and husband, Jason, John Schenk (Rachel), Angela Solhan (Michael), Billy Schenk, Tiffany Cook (TSgt, United States Air Force) and husband, Brandon Cook (SSgt United States Air Force), Barbara Kropp (TSgt, United States Air Force) and husband, Michael Kropp, Brandi Williamson, T.J. Williamson, Jr. and wife, Alicia, Caroline Williamson, Jennifer Lechner and husband, Rob, Donald Frank Williamson, Jr., Danielle Mosser and husband, Tim, and Bruce Williamson and wife, Rebecca; forty five great-grandchildren.
