DONALSONVILLE, GEORGIA. . .Daniel Aaron “Dan” Knowles, a resident of Donalsonville, Georgia, formerly of Columbia, died Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at his home. He was 47.

            Memorial services will be held at a later date. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

            Dan Knowles was born in Montgomery and was reared in Houston County, between Webb & Columbia. He was a graduate of the Houston County High School in Columbia. Dan served his country in the U. S. Army. He was formerly employed as a truck driver. Dan was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Milton Knowles of Columbia.

            Surviving relatives include his companion, Toni Chapman, Donalsonville, GA; two daughters, Alex Knowles, Crestview, FL;  Bridges Knowles, Freeport, FL; a son, Garrett Knowles (Allison Griffin), Paxton, FL; a step-daughter, Peri Chapman, Donalsonville, GA; his mother, Linda Bridges Knowles Sims and step-father, James Sims, Columbia; special canine friends, Zivah and Beauregard.
