Mr. Daniel Alan Johnson, age 58, a resident of Gordon, died Friday, May 31, 2024, at Southeast Health following an extended illness.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeremy Meetze officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Wiregrass Humane Society, 255 Jerry Drive, Dothan, Al. 36303.

Mr. Johnson was born on February 9, 1966, in El Paso, Texas the son of Gordon Harold Johnson and Barbara Louise Anderson Johnson.  Daniel had previously lived in Lawton, OK, and Brown Mills, N.J. before moving to Alabama.  He worked as grounds manager at Dothan National Golf (Olympia Spa) for 25 years before retirement.  Daniel enjoyed fishing, especially at the ocean.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Debra Wooten in 2013.

Survivors include sister, Cynthia McBrayer (William), Cumming, GA; step-mother, Jean Johnson, Cordele, GA; niece, Grace McBrayer, Cumming, GA; step-son, Michael Wooten (Emily), Gordon, AL; step-daughter, Angel Boyd (James), Virginia; sister-in-law, Karen Suggs, Milledgeville, GA; brother-in-law, Scott Forehand, Dothan; special family friend, Sondra Boles, Gordon.
