Dannie Ann Buckhalt Theisen, age 87, of Taylor, AL went home with the Lord Jesus Christ on April 3, 2017.
Dannie was born in a house in Dothan, AL Feb. 12, 1930 and moved into Taylor, Al in 1932 where her parents, Idus Eugene Buckhalt, Sr. & Myrtle Francis began farming. She graduated from Rehobeth High School in 1948 and Riley Business College in 1949 beginning work with the P.C. White Truck Line in 1950 & 51. From 1970 to the late 80’s she worked for several Transportation companies in GA. She married “Jerry” Theisen Nov. 8, 1952 and moved to Hampton, VA until 1957 where they settled in Smyrna & Marietta, GA until her husband passed away, then moved to Taylor, AL to live with her daughter, Linda. She attended Taylor Baptist Church.
She was married to the late Jerome George Theisen who went home with Jesus on June 10, 2014.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Kent Buckhalt; great granddaughter, Ella Wilkowski, and in law, Chris Ellerbe.
She is survived by her children and their (spouses): Larry Jerome (Joan) Theisen, Linda Ann Theisen Jackson and Gregory Wayne (Tina) Theisen; six grandchildren, David, Aimee, James, Christina, Christopher, Wesley; and thirteen great grandchildren, Anastasia, Tylor, Aiden, Tyler, Madison, Landin, Evan, April, Connor, Makenna, Alexander, Nathan, Christopher; her brother Idus Eugene Buckhalt, Jr. and sister in law, Annie Laurie Dawkins Buckhalt and his daughter, Patricia Elaine McNab (Jackie) and her two daughters, Lauri and Christa; other in laws by marriage, Ronnie, and Jacob, Bobbie “Georgie” Whiddon. 2nd cousin, and close friend her whole life.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, April 7, 2017 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Pat Andrews officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM, one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery.
Family will be accepting flowers.
