During the early morning hours of 1/17/21, surrounded by his wife and children, Danny C. Parris was called home by his heavenly Father, after an intense & strongly fought battle with cancer. He was 62 years old.

Danny was born 1/20/58 in Dothan, Al, where he grew up and lived almost the entirety of his life. He is a member of the 1976 class of Dothan High School, where he spent many of his fondest days.

Danny spent a 40 plus year career in the steel industry where he worked with many aspects of the industry.  He ended his career as a Sr. Project Manager for E&H Steel Corporation. During his career, Danny made many lifelong friends, mentored others and contributed to phenomenal work projects.

Those that knew Danny, enjoyed that he always had a story to tell, a joke to share for a laugh & outgoing personality that left an impression that was hard to forget. His fun-loving spirit & his tough exterior to a true heart of gold will always be remembered.

One of Danny’s favorite memories & story to share, is of the Sunday morning at Bethel Baptist Church, at the age of 14 that he saw & fell in love with the new Pastor’s daughter. He proudly said one day he was going to marry that girl. He indeed married his best friend, Pam Gainous Parris in the same church on 1/22/77. This week they were to celebrate their 44th wedding anniversary.  The couple have 2 children; Joshua & Whitney. They are Grandan & Nana to 4 remarkable granddaughters.

Danny was a sports enthusiast; both playing & watching a variety of sports. He had a lifelong love & devotion to The University of Alabama Crimson Tide.

Danny will be deeply missed, loved & forever cherished by many.
