Danny Earl "DJ" Brown, Jr., 19, of Dothan passed away Monday, July 9, 2012 at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be 10 am Friday, July 13, 2012 at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

DJ was born February 18, 1993 in Houston County and lived most of his life in Ashford until recently moving to Dothan 6 months ago. He was employed in construction and in his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, and playing sports. He was preceded in death by his grandfather J.L. Phillips and a cousin Shannon Swords.

Survivors include his fiancé Tiffany Nicole Brunson of Dothan; a daughter Kaitlyn Grace Brown of Dothan; parents Danny and Marty Brown of Ashford; brothers, Steve (Denise Bland) Brown of Dothan, and Dylan Brown of Ashford; a sister Krystal Brown of Ashford; grandparents, Loray and C.L. Floyd of Ashford, Gail James of Ashford, and Jewel Phillips of Ashford; a niece Kayliegh Brown of Ashford; several aunts, uncles, and friends also survive.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Clark, Kevin Watson, Steve Strength, William Strength, Nick Rogers, Mike Bradley, Cameron Best, and Colby Money.
