ABBEVILLE. . .Danny Lane “Lanny” Mullis, a resident of Abbeville, died Monday morning, October 30, 2023, at his home. He was 62.

There are no memorial or funeral services planned at this time. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

Lanny Mullis was born and reared in Prattville, Alabama, son of the late Don Deese Mullis and Ruth Jean Groover Mullis. He lived in Carrollton, Georgia before moving to Riverview Forest Estates in Henry County, Alabama in 2022. Lanny was employed as a truck driver all his lifetime.

Surviving relatives include a son, Landon Kale Mullis; his step-mother, Susan Bennett Mullis, Prattville; a brother, Randy Mullis (Terri), Huntsville, AL; special friends and caregivers, Eugene and Kim Acton, Abbeville.
