MIDLAND CITY. . . Danny Ray “Coach Bud” Cunningham, a resident of Midland City, died Saturday morning, November 4, 2023, at his home. He was 66.
A memorial visitation will be held from 9:00 until 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 11, 2023, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel.
Danny Cunningham was born and reared in Dale County, son of the late Ray Cunningham and Ann Mathews Cunningham. He was formerly employed by the Town of Napier Field in the water department. In earlier years, Danny worked as an automobile mechanic. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dean Johnson Cunningham.
Surviving relatives include a son, Derick Ray Cunningham and his wife, KC, of Dothan; a granddaughter, Rayven Cunningham; sisters, Starla Cunningham and Penny Poole (Raymond); brothers, Dennis Mathews (Brenda) and Glen Pipkin; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Teresa and Danny Myers, Shelia Roberts, Darlene Adams, Jessica Devora, Robert Johnson, Keith Senn, Ronald Johnson (Wendy) and Jeremiah Johnson; several nieces and nephews.
