Danny Ray Hansel, 51 of Dothan passed away Tuesday May 27, 2014 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday, May 30, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Margaret Gibbs officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

Danny was born February 25, 1963 in Dothan and lived here his entire life. He was a 1981 graduate of Northview High School and was a car dealer and had a great passion for the business. Danny was a one of a kind man, who loved his family and friends dearly, and was always looking for ways to help others in need. He was preceded in death by his father Dexter Hansel and a sister Donna Hansel.

Survivors include his mother Pat Hansel; daughter Clarissa Hansel; sisters, Dawn Hansel and Deanna Phelps; brother Dewayne Hansel; nieces, Bethany Oliver, Hayden Phelps, Jaylee Hansel, Whitney Phillips, and Paisley Phelps; nephews, Daniel Oliver, Mark Bond, Taylor Hansel, Ashton Hansel, Hunter Oliver, Kamryn Oliver, and Bentley Hansel; sisters-in-law, Leigh Boswell and Beverly Hansel; brother-in-law Bradley Phelps; special friends, Jimmy Watford and Bob Renfro.
