Darlene Dean

 

Darlene Dean, a resident of Dothan, died unexpectedly, Friday night, July 25, 2014. She was 71.

 

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday July 30, 2014 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Carl Hobbs officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylor Assembly of God Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 9:00 on Tuesday.

 

Darlene was born November 24, 1942 in Andalusia, Alabama and lived the early years of her life there. She has been a resident of Dothan for many years.

 

Darlene is predeceased by her parents, T. B. and Lena Mae Rogers; her husband, Robert Dean; two daughters, Virginia Smith and Debra Murphy; five brothers and two sisters.

 

Survivors include seven children, Edward Smith, Jerry Smith, Norman Smith, Janice Winkler, ReDonna Thomas, David Smith and Darren Rose; several grandchildren including Heather Whirl; several great grandchildren; dear friends, Beatrice Rodriguez, Ronnie Morris and Sue Knight.
