David Hal Tolleson, 77, a lifelong resident of Dothan, passed away Friday, July 31, 2020 at his residence.


A private family burial will be held.


In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alabama Kidney Foundation, P O Box 355, Dothan, AL 36302.


Mr. Tolleson was born August 18, 1942 in Dothan to Hal Tye and Willa Elizabeth Byrd Tolleson. He attended Dothan High School, class of 1960. After high school, David joined the U. S. Air Force where he served for four years. He then returned to Dothan and married Renae Green.


In earlier years, he was employed with Green Furniture Company. He later established Circle City Moving Company which he operated for many years. David was devoted to his family and enjoyed many happy days at Lake Eufaula fishing and cooking for family and friends.


He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Renae Green Tolleson of Dothan; four children, Bronwyn (Bunk) Hanahan,  Bryan (Susan) Tolleson, Bobby Tolleson and Brantley Tolleson, all of Dothan; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Hanahan, Ingraham Hanahan, Ludlum Hanahan, Lindsay Williamson (Jacob), Emilee Tolleson, Braleigh Tolleson and Kaden Tolleson; great-grandchildren, Ryder, Blayke and Holden Williamson; a sister, Carol Mann of Dothan; brothers, Larry (Sharon) Tolleson of Dothan and Tony (Amy) Tolleson of Birmingham; a sister-in-law, Robyn (Riley Joe) Andrews and family; many loving nieces and nephews.


The family would like to thank Jackie and Charissa with Encompass Hospice for their compassion and care.
