GREENWOOD, FLORIDA. . .David L. Morency, a resident of Greenwood, Florida, died late Friday afternoon, February 23, 2024, in a Dothan hospital. He was 76.


            There are no memorial or funeral services planned at this time. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.


            Mr. Morency was born in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, son of the late Lowell V. Morency and Violet Hallada Morency. He served his country in the U. S. Marines during the Vietnam War where he received a Purple Heart. Mr. Morency lived in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Cape Coral, Florida and Venice, Florida before moving to Greenwood in 2008. He was of the Catholic Faith. Mr. Morency retired as Co-Owner and Operator with his wife in the operation of Big Apple Corporation, a Daycare and Elderly Care Company in Wisconsin. In earlier years, he was employed  as a brick and block mason with Civil Service in San Diego, California. Mr. Morency enjoyed playing golf and loved his English bulldogs. He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.


            Surviving relatives include his wife, Eunice Koslowski Morency; a son, Kelly Morency (Heidi), Dothan, AL; grandchildren, David Morency, Sarah DePas, William Pasterski and Eric DePas; six great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Virgil Koslowski (Patricia), Green Bay, Wisconsin; and a sister-in-law, Cindy McDonald, Green Bay, Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews.
