DAVID LEE WARD

MIDLAND CITY… David Lee Ward, a resident of Midland City, Alabama, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Extendicare Health Center. He was 73.

          Memorial services will be held 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Reverend Willie Barbour officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

          The family is accepting flowers or contributions may be made to your favorite charity.

          Mr. Ward was born in Dothan, Alabama to the late Wilburn Ward and Marie Adams Ward. He lived his entire life in the Blackwood Community of Dale County, Alabama and the  Midland City, Alabama area. He enjoyed farming, and hanging out at the Coaches Petro store in Grimes, Alabama, interacting with anyone that came along his way.

          Along with his parents, he was also preceded death by his sisters, Lula Ray Parker and Leitha Brackin; and his brother, Wilmer Jack Ward.

          Leaving to cherish his memories are his niece, Crystal Jean Ward; his nephew, Ricky Dewayne Ward; his great-nieces, Ashley Marie Ward, Madison Nicole Phillips; his great-nephews, Brettley Austin Kaczmarczyk and Jacob Wyatt Senn; his close friends, Leroy & Amanda Lynn Whitehead, Lillian Whitehead, Sammy Frichter, and Michael Frichter.
