David Linwood Spaulding of Bonifay, FL, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022 in Dothan, Alabama. He was 88.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA at a later date.

David was born June 18, 1933 in Waterville, ME to the late Ralph Linwood and Alice Essie Craig Spaulding. He retired as an E9 after 39 years of dedicated service in the United States Navy. He was an engineer with IBM for a number of years prior to his retirement. He was well known for his independent spirit but hardworking values. David was an antique car collector and enthusiast. He was most affectionately known as “Pops” to his family and closest loved ones.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Vicki Lynn Spaulding and a sister, Nancy Ann Buzzell.

He is survived by three sons, Ralph Linwood Spaulding (Tammy) of Vernon, FL, David Linwood Spaulding and Glenn Michael Spaulding, both of Maryland, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a number of special great-great grandchildren.
