David Woodham, a resident of Midland City, passed away at Flowers Hospital, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, August 28, 2016. He was 71.


Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Skeen officiating. Graveside services will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5pm-7pm Tuesday.


David was born October 22, 1944 in Stoke-On-Trent, Staffs England. He lived the early years of his life in Midland City and graduated from Dale County High School. David was employed at Fort Rucker as a helicopter mechanic for 38 years until his retirement in 2007. He enjoyed fishing, wood working and loved his grandchildren.


Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Janis Woodham; his daughters, Pamela (Tracey) Brantley and Kimberly (Wes) Lane; his grandchildren, Holly (Cacey Christiansen) Lawrence, Jacob (Megan Doyle) Lawrence, Jarrett Brantley, David Mauldin and Dylan Mauldin; his sister, Linda Parrish; several nieces and nephews.
